Saturday 21st May
10.00 - 17.00: Launch Service and circular walk from St Mark’s
Service at Ballagarey Methodist Chapel, St Mark’s to launch Keeills Week. For those who wish, there will be a circular walk from St Mark’s to Cabbal Dreem Ruy (GR 251739), the keeill near Cringle reservoir, returning to St Mark’s through Corlea plantation. Rough walking in places, may be muddy. Stout footwear required. Bring packed lunch. (9 miles)
Non-walking participants may, if they wish, join walkers at the keeill for prayers at lunch time.
Sunday 22nd May
14.30: Family worship at Fort Island
Meet at St Thomas’ Chapel, King William’s College where we shall join families from St Mary’s on the Harbour, Castletown, for short talk and prayers. Sharing cars, move on to Fort Island for a mini-pilgrimage with visit to the keeill and finishing at the Fort for a short act of worship. Please bring a picnic tea.
Monday 23rd May
11.00 Visit to St. Patrick’s Chair
Park at Ard Jekyll MSPCA (GR 292781) and share cars to St Patrick’s Chair (GR 315779), where there will be a talk by local historian Frank Cowin. After prayers at the ancient preaching station return to Ard Jekyll for lunch.
Tuesday 24th May
19.00: An evening in Dalby
Park cars at Dalby Church (GR 219785). Walk to Niarbyl for evening prayer at the beach. Continue walk to White Beach then return to Dalby Church for supper via the Lhagg Road. Those not wishing to walk to White Beach are welcome to join the prayers at Niarbyl then return to the Church for a talk by Frank Cowin and join the walkers for supper. Cash donations welcomed for supper please.
Wednesday 25th May
19.00: Coach trip - ‘Manx Crosses’
Depart from Promenade Methodist Church, Douglas. Local historian, Frank Cowin will lead an exploration of some of the finest crosses on the Isle of Man. Evening ends at Kirk Michael Church Hall for light supper. Return to Douglas by 22.15. Cost £12 to include supper. Limited numbers. Booking essential. Please send cheques, payable to Promenade Methodist Church, and a stamped addressed envelope, to ‘Praying the Keeills Week’ c/o Ballachree, Main Road, Ballaugh, IM7 5EB. Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis and will be sent out on May 11th.

14.30: Visit to Corrody Keeill
Park in the Sulby reservoir car park (GR 373890). Short walk to the keeill where there will be a talk and prayers.
Friday 27th May
19.30: Evening of music and candle-lit worship with supper at St Luke’s
First part of the evening learning Iona songs, then a faith supper (please bring food to share) followed by Iona-style worship by candlelight which will include some of the music learnt. Opportunity for short walk to a site of the old Tynwald. Stout footwear required.
Saturday 28th May
10.00 - 17.00 Walk from Glen Auldyn to Ballaugh
Park at Glen Auldyn road (GR 436944). Walk to Sky Hill keeill via the Millennium Way, then on to Ballaugh via Sulby Claddagh and track of old railway.. Tea and scones at Ballachree, Ballaugh. Return to cars by bus. Steep climb in places. Stout footwear essential. Bring packed lunch. (8

Saturday 15 May:
10.30 - 17.00: Launch Service and Walk
Service open to everyone to launch the week at Ramsey Methodist Church, Waterloo Road. Tea and coffee afterwards. For those who wish to walk after the service, pilgrims will catch 12.20 bus to Port Mooar. Walk around coast to Maughold, visiting keeills in churchyard and St Maughold’s Well before continuing along the Brooghs to Ramsey (7 miles). Rough walking in places; stout footwear required. Bring packed lunch.

15.00: All age event at Peel Castle (new Cathedral in the event of bad weather)
A mix of activities and worship for all ages. Bring a picnic.
Monday 17 May
11.00 visit to Sulbrick Keeill
Meet and park at Ard Jekyll, MSPCA (map ref 292781). Share cars to Sulbrick farm (map ref 310749).Short walk to keeill across farmland. Return to Ard Jekyll for lunch.

Meet at Glen Mooar car park (map ref 302894), walking through Glen Mooar to keeill at Cabbyl Pherick (Patrick’s Chapel). Followed by visit to Spooyt Vane waterfall. Return to car park (approx 2 miles). Stout footwear essential.Optional extension of walk - returning via Glen Wyllin and beach (additional 4 miles).

19.00 Coach Trip - 'Keeills and their Saints'
Depart from Promenade Methodist Church, passing various keeill sites en route with a commentary by local historian Frank Cowin. Stopping at one of the keeill sites for worship. Light supper provided. 14.30 Visit to Balladoole Keeill
Meet at car park at foot of Fisher’s Hill (240686). Proceed along coastal path to Poyll Vaaish then to Balladoole keeill. Return to car park (approx 2.5 miles); optional extension of walk continuing along coast to Scarlett (additional 2.5 miles approx). Transport available from there back to car park at foot of Fisher's Hill. Stout footwear essential.

21.00 Candlelit procession to Tynwald Hill
Light supper in Methodist Church Hall followed by candlelit procession to Tynwald Hill, war memorial(Celtic Cross) and into the Royal Chapel of St John for short service.
Saturday 22 May
10.15-16.30 Walk from Snaefell to Cornaa
10.15 service in Christ Church, Laxey. Tram-ride with commentary to summit of Snaefell, where there will be opportunity for refreshments and worship. Non-walkers return by tram to Laxey. Walkers descend from summit to Black Hut and over shoulder into the Cornaa valley visiting Keeill Voirrey and on to Cornaa, catching tram /bus back to Laxey (7 miles approx).Rough walking over steeply sloping ground. Stout footwear required. Bring packed lunch.

10am - 4.45pm WORSHIP AND WALK Short act of worship in Peel Cathedral at 10.00am to mark the start of Keeills Week. All are invited (not just walkers). Parking is available at the Cathedral. Take bus (1055) to Lower Foxdale. Walk back to Peel, passing a number of keeills on the way, via Gleneedle Road, Glen Mooar, Glen Maye and on to coastal footpath. Visit St Patrick's Well (below Corrin's Folly) and the Old Cathedral. (approx 8 miles). Stout footwear recommended. Bring a packed lunch.
SUNDAY 17 MAY
3pm KIRK MICHAEL Visit the Parish Church and crosses, the Bishop's graves and the Methodist Church. Short act of worship at each.
MONDAY 18 MAY - two events !
11am KEEILL Visit one of the best surviving early keeills at Renshent (home of Charles Cain), part of ancient land holdings of Rushen Abbey. Parking on Main Road. Lunch at Ard Jerkyll.
7.45pm ILLUSTRATED TALK ‘The Time Team discoveries at Mount Murray' by Andrew Johnson at the Promenade Church, Douglas.

2.30pm SHORT WALK Meet at Jurby Church. Walk along road to Keeill Kickle, then back to Jurby to see crosses.
WEDNESDAY 20 MAY
6.30pm FAMILY WALK Meet at St Mark's Church and walk to Broogh Fort (museum site). Walk back to Ballagarey Methodist Church (St Mark's) (4 miles).
THURSDAY 21 MAY
2.30pm WALK Park on Laxey Promenade. Visit site of Chibbyr Niglus. Walk up Breeze Hill (ancient Road), onto Ballaragh Road. Turn up to the Clarum. Take a hill path cross country to Glen Drink, then to Agneash and keeill site and back to Laxey. (approx 5 miles). Stout footwear recommended.
FRIDAY 22 MAY
9pm VISIT TO RUSHEN ABBEY Simple supper in hall at the Abbey Church. Process to Rushen Abbey for act of worship and candlelit pilgrimage. Return to finish in the Abbey Church.
SATURDAY 23 MAY
10.30am - 4pm WALK Meet on breakwater near Lifeboat House at Port St Mary. Walk along coast to Sound (explanation of keeill and cross on Calf). Continue up road to Cregneash and St Patrick's Footprints, Mull Hill and on to Port Erin. Back to Port St Mary by road or rail. (approx 8 miles) Stout footwear recommended. Bring a packed lunch.

On to Santon railway station to catch train back to Ballasalla. Bring picnic lunch. (Optional travel by train to/from Douglas/Port Erin.)
